Mitesh Lodha is a Mumbai menswear house built on made-to-measure tailoring. Its flagship label makes formal suits, finished by hand, for the occasions a client cannot afford to get wrong.

The business reaches further than suits. ML by Mitesh Lodha is an everyday wardrobe of contemporary menswear, sharper than smart-casual and easier than tailoring. GyarahML works only in Indian design: kurtas, sherwanis and bundis. Three labels, each with a different product, customer moment and role in the business, and all carrying the founder's name in some form.

A before-and-after of the website over a dark Mumbai heritage building: a plain white product grid beside the new site with three campaign images for the labels, above the script signature and "Branding and creative direction © 2026".

When we started, the range sat under a single identity. The existing website presented printed shirts, kurtas and tailoring as collections of one “contemporary menswear label”. The work was not to decorate that offer. It was to decide what each name should stand for.

Before a single sketch, we spent the first phase on research: the market, the competition, the business and the men it dresses. The first finding was simple. Three labels existed, but none had a job, and every product was competing for the same shelf.

The market was crowded but incomplete. Mass labels owned the wedding occasion, designer ateliers owned cultural credibility and imported houses owned tailoring authority. No one combined global tailoring rigour with Indian cultural intelligence. That empty space became the position.

We separated the house from its labels. Mitesh Lodha, the house, is an invisible layer: it holds the standard but never appears as a fourth brand. Beneath it, each label has one job, and each fills a different gap, never a cheaper one.

The flagship carries three marks: a bracketed monogram, a spaced wordmark and the founder’s signature in script. Together they read as a seal, a name and a hand. The imagery stays cinematic and unhurried, closer to a portrait than a catalogue.

Across print and leather, the identity works through touch rather than volume. Cards in deep green, oxblood and navy, an embossed signature, an editorial journal and woven labels all carry the house quietly, the way a well-made garment does.

Made-to-measure is where the brand is felt most, so every step of a fitting has its own object: fabric books, swatch cards, garment bags and tags. Each one is designed as part of the service, not as packaging around it.

Mitesh Lodha came to us as one house with three names and no clear line between them. We started with strategy: research into the market and the men it dresses, a platform built on two traditions held to one discipline, and an architecture that gives each label one job.

The identity grew directly from that work. The flagship speaks through a monogram, a wordmark and the founder’s signature, in deep green and shadow. ML takes its initials into everyday life, in dark brown and daylight. GyarahML carries the house into celebration, in rust and warm light. One system runs across stationery, packaging, tags, made-to-measure tools and a new website that finally presents each label as itself.

The result is a house that reads as one standard wherever a client meets it, with three labels free to grow.
